
ERIC PUTTLER, MD
BOARD CERTIFIED, FELLOWSHIP TRAINED ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON
Dr. Puttler grew up in Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1990. After joining the US Army, he received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and was soon introduced to the Great Northwest as an intern at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis, Washington. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery, he had several duty assignments in the Army, to include a year in Iraq in command of a Forward Surgical Team. He returned home from Iraq in 2005, and completed a fellowship year in orthopedic trauma at Harborview Medical Center in 2007.
He joined the Rainier Orthopedic Surgery team in 2009, and performs arthroscopic knee and shoulder reconstruction, anterior approach hip replacements, and provides fracture care. He also treats a fracture non-unions and mal-unions. Dr. Puttler has three beautiful daughters who keep him and his wife of 14 years busy. He enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, and all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
