OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

Our sole commitment is to provide you with the best care to improve your health and well-being. We believe that providing effective treatment naturally begins with an accurate diagnosis. Because exams do not always indicate the extent or severity of an injury, the staff at ProSports also relies on the finest state-of-the-art MRI technology available. MRI scans, interpreted by our staff of expert diagnosticians, help us develop the best treatment plan for you. ProSports is proud of its reputation for detailed, consistent, and accurate diagnoses. Appointments are typically scheduled no less than a week from the day that you contact us, and you can expect to receive your reports by the next day.

WHAT IS AN MRI?

MRI stands for "magnetic resonance imaging," and has been used since 1977. It is a non-invasive imaging technique used to visualize internal structure and function in the body. These high-quality images are created using radio frequency and a powerful magnetic field. MRI scans identify different types of tissue and create detailed pictures of soft tissue, bone, and blood flow.

WHY IS MRI VALUABLE?

MRI is an important part of our diagnostic process because it can:

  • reveal an injury not apparent in a physical exam

  • confirm a suspected injury

  • detect an injury that may be more or less severe than a physical exam suggests

  • pinpoint multiple diagnoses that show up as one set of symptoms

Imaging is particularly useful in instances of pain, swelling, or hemorrhaging associated with an injury, as these complications can interfere with the doctor's ability to perform a complete physical exam.

Whether you're an athlete anxious to return to your game or an arthritis patient contemplating joint replacement surgery, we can determine the extent and magnitude of your condition and help you obtain the most effective treatment.
